Jackson's Paradox and Its Resolution by the Four-dimensional Geometric Quantities
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper it is shown that the real cause of Jackson’s paradox is the use of three-dimensional (3D) quantities, e.g., E, B, F, L, T, their transformations and equations with them. The principle of relativity is naturally satisfied and there is no paradox when the physical reality is attributed to the 4D geometric quantities, e.g., to the 4D torqueN (bivector) or, equivalently, to the 4D torques Ns and Nt (1-vectors), which together contain the same physical information as the bivector N .

Torque or No Torque?! the Resolution of the Paradox Using 4d Geometric Quantities with the Explanation of the Trouton-noble Experiment
In this paper we have resolved the apparent paradox of different mechanical equations for force and torque governing the motion of a charged particle in different inertial frames. The same paradox arises in all usual “explanations” of the Trouton-Noble experiment. It is shown that the real cause of the paradoxes is the use of three dimensional (3D) quantities, e.g., E, B, F, L, N, their transfo...
متن کاملEvolution of the first eigenvalue of buckling problem on Riemannian manifold under Ricci flow
Among the eigenvalue problems of the Laplacian, the biharmonic operator eigenvalue problems are interesting projects because these problems root in physics and geometric analysis. The buckling problem is one of the most important problems in physics, and many studies have been done by the researchers about the solution and the estimate of its eigenvalue. In this paper, first, we obtain the evol...
متن کاملEinstein structures on four-dimensional nutral Lie groups
When Einstein was thinking about the theory of general relativity based on the elimination of especial relativity constraints (especially the geometric relationship of space and time), he understood the first limitation of especial relativity is ignoring changes over time. Because in especial relativity, only the curvature of the space was considered. Therefore, tensor calculations should be to...
متن کاملTrouton-Noble paradox revisited
An apparent paradox is obtained in all previous treatments of the Trouton-Noble experiment; there is a three-dimensional (3D) torque T in an inertial frame S in which a thin parallel-plate capacitor is moving, but there is no 3D torque T in S, the rest frame of the capacitor. Different explanations are offered for the existence of another 3D torque, which is equal in magnitude but of opposite d...
متن کاملMethods to evaluate the performance of kilovoltage cone-beam computed tomography in the three-dimensional reconstruction space
Background: Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanners for image-guided radiotherapy are in clinical use today, but there has been no consensus on uniform acceptance to verify the CBCT image quality yet. The present work proposed new methods to fully evaluate the performance of CBCT in its three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction space. Materials and Methods: Compared to the traditional methods...
